This is a raffle for the 2nd annual Petts Wood Dads Charity Football Match taking place on Saturday 30th September 2023. The match has been organised by 2 teams of local dads. The raffle will be held following the game at 4.30pm. Last year's inaugural event was a great success, raising over £4k for charity with over 40 prizes kindly donated by the players, friends, family as well as local businesses. This year, we are hoping to get even more prizes donated and tickets sold. The money raised via the Raffall website will be split 50/50 between the following two charities, which are very personal to both teams. _____________________________________________________ 1. ALK+ International: The brother of one of our players was diagnosed with ALK positive lung cancer at the age of 33. ALK positive is a rare type of cancer, caused by a genetic mutation, i.e. bad luck. It can affect anyone, of any age and there is currently no cure. It is thought to occur in roughly 100,000 people, worldwide, every year. ALK+ International is a charity with a single mission: to improve the life expectancy for ALK+ cancer patients. Spinal Injuries Association (SIA): The wife of one of our players has been affected by a serious spinal injury resulting in life-changing consequences. The SIA are the UK's expert, guiding voice for life after spinal cord injury helping with advice & support, community groups and getting the right care package. Ultimately providing support for as many people with spinal injuries as they can which will only increase through more donations / funding.
