This prototype was made for the the first collection of Black Box Edition Original York Ghosts ever released. The edition of 22 Cast Polished Aluminium Ghosts were first sold exactly 4 years ago to the day on 30th November 2019. The aluminium Ghosts were sold alongside the cast bronze Ghosts as a joint release. They were hand cast in a family run forge in South Yorkshire and produced using a traditional sand casting method in small numbers before hand finishing and polishing. This Ghost was not part of the limited edition of 22 but was made for us as a prototype sample before production began. It is not mirror polished like the final edition was and has lived in Mr McArthurs office for 4 years. There are marks and scratched over the body and the base is rough cast ( unlike the edition Ghosts ) and marked with a P to denote a prototype. This really is a very unique Ghost and plays a special part in the inception of the Black Box Editions. For the final Charity ghost of 2023 we have chosen to raise funds for The National Autistic Society. They were founded to help the 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. Be it running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights or training companies on being more autism-friendly, they are dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes. The Raffall is open to those overseas though postage will be charged. There is free postage to UK winners.
