Our kitty needed an emergency MRI last month to determine if she has a brain tumour or something a little less scary, but equally as expensive. We were quoted £3000 for the scan and due to a tiny loophole, her insurance has refused to cover the costs, which has left us absolutely terrified for our Selene and our financial situation. We've since learnt that she needs surgery next month to hopefully address the issue, but it doesn't end there as we've been told she'll need scans every few months to check her progress. Each scan is in the region of a thousand pounds. We simply don’t have this money, but we want to do the best for Selene. We don’t have high-paying jobs. Alexander works for a mental health charity (which, if you know charity jobs, aren’t high paying). Autumn runs a small business selling jewellery, but has several disabilities, which severely limits how much she can work. We both struggle with our mental health. We've set up a gofundme, but we also want to raffle this beautiful York Ghost and incense cones to raise some more funds.
