Tawny Treehouse is an amazing and spacious ‘hide-out’ nestled in a secluded area of outstanding natural beauty in East Sussex. It is the perfect romantic escape or the ideal place for a total retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Once you’ve arrived at the venue, a good 5-minute drive along the owners’ private lane, and you make your way across the bridge, you will see the treehouse peeking out through the surrounding canopy. You'll know you're in a special place, unlike anywhere you've ever been. Once inside, you'll likely be tempted to drop your bags and settle straight into the comfy seating on the deck which is large and full of charm, but let's take a look inside first. The interior is open-plan and beautifully designed with the sleeping area cleverly thought out, tucked away around a curve creating an illusion of separateness. A hand-crafted king-size bed features high-quality Egyptian cotton bedding, a warm duvet and plenty of fluffy pillows, so you can snuggle in and get cosy. A flat-screen TV suspended from the wall means you can enjoy a movie, or two, tucked up with some popcorn and a cup of cocoa late into the night. The living, dining and kitchen areas are spacious and light-filled. The kitchenette is in the centre of the space creating the divide between the bed and the rest of the property and is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare delicious meals. There's a two-ring gas stove, a kettle, a fridge, microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. A deep sink and a prep area at the end of the counter provide plenty of room for creating your culinary delights. Wooden shelves brim with crockery, and you'll find the odd plant dotted about making it all feel very homely. The living area has a decadent velvet sofa where you can curl up with a book, and if the peace is all too much, there's a Bluetooth Bose speaker ready to play your favourite tunes. The vaulted round ceiling has exposed beams holding an elegant lampshade with lower spotlighting around the walls. A romantic table for two sits by one of the many windows providing a cosy place to enjoy the panoramic views. After a restful night, you'll be delighted by the large walk-in shower, (with plenty of room for two!) then dry off with the fluffy towels kept warm on the heated rails. If you're feeling particularly indulgent, you might prefer to jump into the free-standing outdoor bathtub! Make yourself a Nespresso and head out onto the deck, turn on the taps and enjoy the view, and your coffee, as the bath fills up. The deck is particularly lovely, very spacious and secluded, perfectly set up for a day of relaxing and unwinding. There's a hand-crafted wooden table in one corner with seating, providing the perfect spot to enjoy the panoramic views of Wadhurst Park and surrounding areas. The location of Tawny Treehouse is such that you can easily explore the surrounding Sussex countryside with plenty of walks directly from the doorstep. The village of Mayfield is a short stroll away where you will find The Middle House, a lovely historic pub serving delicious food. The Rose & Crown is another option; perfect for a post-walk pint in the sunshine. For a day of shopping, you're only a short drive to Tunbridge Wells. Rye, Camber Sands, Hastings, St Leonards-on-Sea and Brighton are all within easy reach.
