The FTD Brothers, Jordan and Cian Adams are running the length of the UK to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK. From John O’Groats to Lands End they’re taking on the challenge to run 30 miles each day throughout September, with the aim to finish on 1st October. Since losing their mum in 2016 to early-onset Frontotemporal Dementia(FTD), Jordan and Cian have both discovered through genetic testing that they sadly share the same fate, as they inherited a rare gene mutation. This means that they too will develop symptoms of FTD in their 40s. In their lifetime, Jordan and Cian, aim to raise over a million pounds towards research and hope to help raise awareness that this disease isn’t a natural part of aging.
